Summer brings our already famous Waitangi Weekend Band on the Lawn — a long, sun-soaked afternoon of music, wine and community overlooking the inlet.
Wellness meets wine with Pilates on the Lawn, where movement flows into a well-earned glass, while our playful Carrick Wine Bingo and hands-on Vintage celebrations invite you behind the scenes of the harvest season.
For those who love to go deeper, our Vertical Tastings and Special Release Wine & Food Events showcase the breadth of our cellar — thoughtfully paired with Central Otago’s finest seasonal produce.
These are intimate, story-rich experiences that celebrate the craft, the vineyard and the people behind every bottle.
Throughout the year, our events bring together locals, travellers and wine lovers alike — all set against the stunning backdrop of the Bannockburn Inlet and Carrick Range.

Held on the first Friday of every month, Thirst First Fridays are a relaxed invitation to gather at Carrick as the week winds down. Enjoy Carrick wines by the glass or bottle, a seasonal food offering from the kitchen, and the easy hospitality that makes a Friday evening feel special.
Designed for locals, visitors, and anyone passing through Bannockburn, this is a casual way to enjoy the vineyard outside the usual lunch-hour rhythm.
Bring friends, gather after work, or make it the start of a Central Otago weekend. No bookings required — simply come along and join us.
For larger groups, we have the Glasshouse, private Cabanas or private space in the Waikana Room available for booking.

The Excelsior Launch Dinner is an intimate evening that celebrates this remarkable wine in the place it was grown. This members-only experience is designed for those who want a deeper connection to Carrick’s wines, from the first signs of harvest through to the stories that shape each release. Guests will be welcomed to the estate for a relaxed and immersive afternoon celebrating Bannockburn, organic farming, and the craft of single-site winemaking.
Expect a seasonal experience shaped by the rhythms of harvest. Depending on the day, this may include a guided vineyard moment, pre-release tastings, library wine access, conversation with the Carrick team, and a shared food and wine experience overlooking the estate.
As part of Carrick Wine Club, members also enjoy pre-release access to library and new vintage wines, special member pricing, and first access to selected events and happenings at Carrick throughout the year.
